For Backline & Production Teams
A Structured Record for Backline Equipment That Moves a Lot
Build a structured record of backline equipment, cases, and deployments across shows.
The RigVault model fits how backline actually works.
RigVault distinguishes individual equipment (Assets), physical cases and racks (Cases), working configurations (Rigs), and job-specific deployments (Loadouts), which is close to how backline gear is already organized in practice, whether it's shared as a road case count or deployed for a specific show.
Deploy gear per show as a Loadout.
What's going to a specific date becomes a Loadout built from equipment already catalogued, instead of a separate spreadsheet per gig.
Condition history that survives high turnover.
Backline gear gets used hard and shared often. Log repairs, damage, and service events on the equipment's gear history so its condition doesn't depend on whoever last touched it remembering to mention something.
What's here today, and what isn't.
Today, RigVault is one account per person, with read-only Loadout sharing for getting a deployment list to a client or crew member. Multi-user team accounts and dedicated client/rental management aren't built yet. We'd rather say that plainly than market a workflow that doesn't exist. Public copy on this page will only describe what's actually shipped.
FAQ
Backline & production, answered.
Can backline companies use RigVault today?
The RigVault model fits backline workflows well: individual equipment, physical cases, working configurations, and job-specific deployments. Multi-user team accounts and dedicated rental/client management aren't built yet, so today it works best for a single person tracking and deploying a backline inventory.
Can I track which client or show a piece of gear is deployed to?
You can build a Loadout for a specific show from your catalogued gear and share it as a read-only link. Dedicated client- or rental-tracking fields are not yet available.
Can multiple team members manage the same backline inventory?
Not yet. RigVault is currently one account per person. A shared team workspace is on the roadmap.
Start with the deployment record you'd want in writing.
